Mar 6 (Wed) - Thorin Oakenpants
Hello again.
I’ve been using LibreWolf (a Firefox spinoff) as my main web browser for awhile now. Yesterday I was searching the internet for guidance on hardening FF and LW. I found a resource on GitHub.
.
If you’re not familiar with GitHub, it’s a very popular web site where people can collaborate on software projects. Much of the code they create is free to the general public, and most team members provide a short bio and how they can be contacted. Some team members of some projects prefer to remain anonymous.
.
The project I found is called ArkenFox. It describes how to block tracking and fingerprinting as you surf the web. Some big tech companies (Google, Apple, Meta especially) prefer people would NOT use the software they’ve created, for obvious reasons.
