Here’s what happened.

NWS says a EF1 tornado passed through the QCA earlier in the week. I added a red arrow (the tip of the arrow is where the kids live) and a red dot (where we live) to the map.

This tornado was a bit unusual in that it moved from NW to SE. Bob the coffee clan meteorologist says the derecho had everything to do with that.

There’s very little damage to the roof on the kid’s place, Kyle has arranged for a roofing company to stop by and look it over soon as they can free someone up.
